We are pleased to announce the finalists of the 17th International “Dimitri Mitropoulos” Competition for Composers (2025), as voted for by our esteemed Jury panel. The four composers and works that will compete in the final are the following, in alphabetical order:
BEKOS Euripides (Greece) – IDUNN
CUI Jingyang (China) – Screaming Silence
DARMANIN Francesco (Italy) – Komorebi
SOLDO Giulio (Italy) – Steto Caleido
Runner-up:
MIZUTANI Shin (Japan) – To Hen
The four selected works will be presented in the final phase of the Competition, that will take place on November 2nd, at the Thessaloniki Concert Hall, by the Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of Miltos Logiadis.
The Competition received more than 90 works from composers from all around the world.
Both the Jury and the Administration team would like to congratulate all contestants for the high level of quality and creativity displayed in their works, and wish everyone who competed best of luck in their future endeavours.
We would like to wish good luck to the finalists and we hope to see you in Thessaloniki this November for the Final!
